
Cynthia de Souza Cardoso
Cynthia de Souza Cardoso is an environmental law attorney with over 20 years of experience, particularly in dispute mediation and resolution, environmental licensing and compliance, as well as mergers and acquisitions (M&A). She advises both domestic and international clients in preventive and corrective matters before environmental regulatory agencies and the judiciary. Her experience includes corporate legal support, and she has served as a representative on the National Environmental Council (CONAMA), as a board member of specialized chambers of the State Council for Environmental Policy of Minas Gerais (COPAM), and as a member of the Energy Law Commission of the Brazilian Bar Association – Minas Gerais chapter (OAB/MG). She has also worked as a consultant for the National Association of Municipal Environmental Agencies (ANAMMA), and held legal positions at the Environmental Secretariat of Belo Horizonte/MG and in companies in the mining and steel industries.
