Bertrand is a French Brazilian lawyer with over 25 years of experience advising foreign investors in Brazil. He assists clients in negotiations with business partners, M&A transactions, corporate agreements, the regularization and legalization of foreign labor, and matters involving international tax law.

His practice also includes complex real estate operations involving international hotel chains, as well as administrative law and public procurement. In the compliance field, Bertrand advises companies in Brazil on anti-corruption regulations and data protection laws, with expertise in both Brazilian and European legislation. He is certified as a Data Protection Officer (DPO) by the French data protection authority – CNIL.

Bertrand is also a certified mediator, trained by the Paris Mediation and Arbitration Center (CMAP), and is qualified to mediate business disputes and facilitate negotiations.

Appointed by the French government as a Foreign Trade Advisor of France (CCE), he currently serves as Secretary-General of the Brazilian Committee of CCEs. In this role, he supports French economic and political authorities in analyzing and understanding the Brazilian economy and institutions, and assists Brazilian companies interested in investing in France.
